What To Wear This Party Season: Holiday Outfit Ideas!

With the holiday season already fast approaching – (it’s one of my favorite occasions of the year; not only for the festivities and spending time with our loved ones, but also because of all the party outfits I can wear whilst I get away with dressing up way too often)!

1. A Classic Winter Coat

A chic city coat is a must this winter in the U.K. – go for a tailored, structured coat for a more sophisticated look, as this is perfect to wear both to work and to holiday parties! I must have about 3 of these coats in navy, black and beige as they are classics that go with everything! Jigsaw, Hobbs, Ted Baker and John Lewis have some amazing options in store at centre:mk.

2. Cashmere Knitwear

You can never go wrong with cashmere knits – they are such an investment piece as they are timeless and go with almost any outfit! If you’re heading to a cosy brunch, a dinner or an afterwork party, pairing a cashmere knit with some faux leather leggings and heels, or a high waisted vinyl skirt with over-the-knee boots is such a chic look for more casual party-wear!

3. Leather Gloves

Leather/faux-leather gloves are also such an investment piece when it comes to the winter season – not only do they keep your hands warm and cosy but they are also so stylish to rock up in arriving at a party! John Lewis at centre:mk have some amazing and also affordable options!

4. A Hint Of Oxblood

All deep reds and oxblood shades are a go-to of mine once the autumnal and winter months approach! I feel like it’s such an elegant color, and a great option to switch up your staple blacks and have a bit more fun injecting some color into your winter wardrobe! There are also so many accessories you can invest in to add to your party-wear look: think bags, wallets, scarves, heels and more:

5. A Sequin/Glitter Dress

Add some sparkle to your party-wear outfit and go for a beautiful sequin or glitter dress! There are so many options this season, as sequins are a big trend. You’ll find these pieces at Michael Kors, John Lewis amongst other stores at centre:mk! Here are some of my favorites:

6. A Velvet Dress

I absolutely fell in love with the asymmetrical Ted Baker black velvet dress available in John Lewis at centre:mk! It’s elegant and oh so chic for any dinner or party where you’re looking for something extra special to wear! It’s figure hugging and flattering, with the large shoulder pad on one side, and sleeveless on the other to make it more dramatic!

 

7. Thomas Sabo Jewels & Charm Pendants

I’m a huge lover of Thomas Sabo jewelry: the new Vintage by TS collection is simple yet stunning and the perfect addition to your holiday/party-wear outfit! The charm bracelets and pendants are also a classic: they make beautiful gifts and just add something a little more special to any look!

8. Glitter Heels

Your party-wear outfit isn’t complete without some glitter heels to add the final touch! Okay.. maybe glitter isn’t your thing, but glitter heels just add a bit more fun and glam to an evening outfit – it can be just a touch of glitter, or all out in metallic gold and silver!

9. A Touch Of Leopard

We all know how trendy leopard (and animal print to be fair!) is at the moment. Yes, it may be seen all over the high-end and high-street stores but it’s not going anywhere soon! Even though leopard print is considered a AW18 trend this season, it still is a classic that very much is here to stay. So investing in some fun leopard pieces (for your everyday wardrobe or party-wear) is going to be a good idea! Plus, it’s also fun to add some print to a classic look. 10. A Beautiful Festive Fragrance

As the final ‘piece’ to tie your look all together, a festive fragrance is a must! I have my classic scents: the perfumes I wear almost daily to represent my style and personality, but also my seasonal scents to suit the occasion!
