OR ROUGE EYE CREAM BY YVES SAINT LAURENT

 

Makeup is an important part of a girl’s life. Whether it’s the bronze foundation, liquid liner cat-eye or glossy red lipstick, we all have our unique recipes in order to look our very best. But behind the makeup, every girl has her secrets.

 

Today I decided to show you one of my own beauty secrets, or in other words: what’s behind the makeup? Before I introduce you to an amazing skin changing product, I want to begin by hovering over my little beauty regime.

When it comes to makeup I like to keep it as light and natural as possible by using delicate, subtle products. After all, nothing is fresher than natural beauty. What I love the most is eyeliner (the signature cat-eye using a black liquid liner), and I wear it almost every day. But what happens when you take off all that heavy eye-makeup? In the long run, it can harm your skin if you don’t properly take care of it afterwards. Since I began wearing minimal makeup, my mom had told me to start taking care of my skin, especially the eye-contour area. No matter what makeup products you use, we should all have a good cleansing routine to be sure to take off all traces of the makeup to clear the skin and pores.

The product I would like to introduce to you is the new Yves Saint Laurent Or Rouge eye cream. This eye cream is special and quite different from many other eye creams I have tried before. After my recent vacation to Marbella, Spain (where I lay in the sun and allowed myself to get a dark tan, just how I like it), I realized it wasn’t too good for my eyes to be under the heavy sun without putting on any eye cream afterwards. It was then that I discovered the YSL Or Rouge (Red Gold) eye cream: a cream using a very powerful floral ingredient – saffron. Saffron, for those of you who don’t know, comes from the crocus plant in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, blooms only once a year during the fall, and the crimson pistils have to be plucked out by hand. No wonder this product is even more precious than gold, hence why it has such amazing results.

The YSL Or Rouge eye cream is anti-ageing and anti-wrinkles for all skin types, and is a perfect product to wear under makeup to protect the skin. As a bonus: its packaging is simply beautiful, really enhancing the product’s value and strength demonstrated by the gold contour and black top. The eye cream comes with a little spoon to use on your skin, but I prefer using my finger to delicately apply the cream under my eyes and around the side. Usually I put the eye cream on under my makeup, but I found that using it at night before going to sleep lets the product soak in to my skin as well. I want to just mention that this YSL eye cream is most definitely a splurge, but for me it was an investment well worth it and one that will last a long time. Every year you age, and the best way to stay looking young for as long as possible is to take care of your skin, as well as to have a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

My advice to you is to begin using eye-cream – if you don’t use it already. You shouldn’t prolong caring for your skin! The importance of good skin care, including cleansers, toners, and creams to protect and nourish your skin is something to be taken seriously. Beginning a solid beauty regimen and taking care of our skin will be worth the benefits in the years to come.
