TEMPLE OF A GODDESS PT. 1

the temple of a goddess

For those of you who have noticed, this look was used in the TEMPLE OF A GODDESS editorial in the October issue of Bibi Goes Chic Magazine! I thought that it might be interesting for me to post the looks used in my magazine editorials on the blog as well so that I can explain a bit more about them and the reason I choose certain themes. Also, you will be seeing many unseen images in these blog posts!

So to begin, for the TEMPLE OF A GODDESS editorial I decided to use the Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park, London, as the background for these images. As I explained in the editor’s letter, this beyond amazing and beautiful Peace Pagoda was built by monks many years ago to serve as a place for peace. I had only discovered it recently, and I instinctively felt an attachment to it – not only for its beauty, but also for what it stands for. I therefore wanted to use it as a backdrop, but also a centerpiece in the editorial, thereby explaining the title: THE TEMPLE OF A GODDESS. Although this Peace Pagoda isn’t religion-related, it can be called a temple. So there is where it all started, and the images we created ended up absolutely stunning, powerful, and with a sense of mysteriousness.

I also wanted to tell you about the clothes I was wearing in the magazine editorial. All of the four looks created in the TEMPLE OF A GODDESS, as well as the beautiful long white dress in the article on Wearing White This Fall, are from a French clothing brand called ELLA LUNA. They’re a new discovery of mine, and I fell in love immediately with their collection! With a mix of gold, bronzes and oranges, an elegant appeal and perfect shapes, the brand has delivered the image of an empowering yet feminine and flirty figure. It seemed made to be – and so these images are the result of my first collaboration with this amazing company, ELLA LUNA.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through the editorial and knowing a little bit more about it! As always, I love to hear your thoughts and comments, so be sure to let me know what you think of this look, or of the magazine as a whole!

Love,
Bibi
