SUMMER DREAMS – #FCFINDYOURLOOK

As a new fashion blogger and current business student, I have one major goal in mind: to keep on growing in this amazingly talented and competitive industry. Being passionate, creative, and certainly dedicated to pursue my dreams, I have pushed myself out into this crazy and incredible world of fashion, pouring my heart and soul into my masterpiece: my fashion blog, BIBI GOES CHIC.  

 

I began my fashion blog in late January 2014, after having secured my place at my dream university to study BA Fashion Business in September. Having been born in Paris and having lived there my whole life, fashion was always roaming the busy Parisian streets on fashionistas and inspirational women. But growing up as a world traveler had been the biggest influencer of my life. I am ever so grateful for having visited so many different countries, and to have experienced all kinds of cultures and fashion styles. From the United States, to the Dominican Republic, to Morocco, Mexico and Argentina, I have seen it all. And I want to keep on going, hopefully hitting Amsterdam this summer, and pushing myself further with every goal I surpass.

Starting my fashion blog only 4 months ago may have been the best decision I have ever made. Initially, I blogged for myself: to expand my knowledge and to do it simply because I love it. I almost can’t believe all the amazing opportunities that have come my way, and not only thanks to my blog, but because I have a very strong passion, motivation and sincere adoration for what I do. That’s the best prize of them all: to wake up in the morning with a smile on your face because you’re happy to be living the life that you are leading.

The reason I have told you all of this is because of a very important opportunity: Fashionchick’s #FCfindyourlook blogger competition to win a trip to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam this July! It is so amazing that one lucky and talented fashion blogger will be able to attend MBFW in Fashionchick’s hometown, along with bloggers from three other European countries. It has been my dream to attend the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and as the traveler that I am, I would be so thrilled and excited to visit Amsterdam!

The outfit that I chose as my MBFWA stand-out summer look is classy, chic and timeless: characteristics that represent my personal style perfectly. My stand-out summer outfit includes my favorite item of the moment: the full flippy mini skirt by Karen Millen with a simple black crop top, pearls and a cream colored clutch. These are my summer necessities and this look illustrates easy-elegance. Fashion Week is a girl’s dream, and for this look I wanted to illustrate what it is to me to be making your dream a reality. In my photographs, I feel like the scenery is a crucial factor in demonstrating your look because it helps to tell a story. Nothing is more powerful than finding the perfect location to shoot your beautiful outfits. The location that I chose is on a rooftop balcony in Marbella, Spain. The view is simply magnificent and reminds me of a paradise so perfect, it felt like a dream.
