London Fashion Week ss16 Streetstyle

For the first few days of London Fashion Week, the weather was simply incredible! I was ecstatic to be able to wear a dress, so for Day 3 I decided to opt for a more ‘rocker-chic’ look, edgy yet very feminine, with this Sportmax Code outfit – and I ended up loving it so much!

I usually try to avoid wearing ‘all-black’ as I feel like color adds so much more enthusiasm to an outfit, however this stunning Sovrana dress by Sportmax Code made it a completely different story! The slight hint of bold blue underneath the leather dress, visible through the transparent cut-outs on the front, made dressing in black all the more exciting! I absolutely fell in love with the delicateness and uniqueness of this dress – whilst it still being simplistic!

To match, I paired the dress with a very chic pair of leather boots from Ash Footwear – and they are honestly the most comfortable pair of heels I have every owned! I actually wore the Drastic boots out to London Fashion Week on THREE different days as they are so practical, and the mid-heel makes them a dream to walk in (yes, even all day long!). Plus, they give you height and add sophistication to any outfit, so they are definitely my Go-To pair of shoes!

This Fashion Week was the first season where I was invited to join The Apartment (for those who don’t know, it is a Blogger Apartment where we can unwind in between all of the craziness, network with others, get our hair and makeup done for the day, and a whole lot else! I will create a separate post about The Apartment soon). And so they were my saviours, with the most amazing street style photographers to shoot my looks in between the shows!

I hope you like this look as much as I do!

Love, Bibi

  1. Bibi, I agree with you about wearing all black. Although I feel it does have a very strong chic and sophisticated feel, I do tend to lean more towards color, even when working with a black outfit. I adore the dress you’re wearing here, the cut outs with the contrast of navy really add a special element to the dress and overall look.

That apartment sounds so cool! I can’t wait to read the post in which you’ll describe more about it!

I hope you’re having a wonderful day and I hope you’ll have an even better weekend, beauty!

    1. Thank you so much Jalisa for your super sweet comment! I definitely agree that an all black outfit is very chic, no doubt, but adding just a hint of color always uplifts it in my opinion! Black is timeless anyway :)
Yayy I’m so glad you are excited to read the post, it’s coming soon! xx

  2. I totally agree with your point on trying to avoid all black, although sometimes the outfit or context just calls for it!

I absolutely love this look! The dark colours together look fantastic and your photos just overall beautiful.

    Kyah –
