PREPPY TWIST ON DENIM

Truth be told I can never say no to a denim on denim look, with my own little twist of course! Once the denim on denim trend was starting to become popular, I actually felt like I would never be able to rock the look, but I soon figured out that my way of making it look good on me was always by adding a little something different! A previous denim on denim look I posted I was mixing it with a pop of gold (view HERE), another was in all white denim (view HERE), and in this one I decided to go preppy, which usually isn’t your first thought when you think of this trend now is it?

The preppy chic style is one that is so much fun to wear because of it’s femininity and ‘varsity girl’ appearance! I don’t dress preppy very often, but when I do I like it to have a certain edge (explaining why I wore denim on denim!). This preppy navy blue striped cardigan was so kindly gifted to me by Sugarhill Boutique’s (whom I have collaborated with before, view HERE) sister brand Poppy Lux! They have a variety of very nice and adorable clothing, however I wanted to go for a more ‘preppy’ item since that is what I have the least of! And fashion is all about experimentation right?
