Paris Fashion Week in Alfredo Villalba Couture

Awaking in the morning light after a blissful daydream, slipping on the most beautiful dress you may have ever seen and glancing at yourself slightly in the mirror whilst placing on your favourite jewelry. This… this wonderful feeling of wearing something so delicate and luxurious is one that is so perfect – it is such an amazing feeling to have. This red lace dress, simple yet so sophisticated and timeless that fits onto your body like a glove, makes it seem like it was made for you. There couldn’t be a better way to describe this moment.

Just like a daydream but it was a real-life fairytale, I was so blessed to be wearing one of my favourite designers, Alfredo Villalba, to the shows this Paris Fashion Week. It’s always an incredible opportunity for me to wear such individual and creative brands during the show season, the whole experience is honestly one like no other that I make sure to enjoy each and every moment to the fullest and never take any for granted!

The brand that I had worn on this particular day, Alfredo Villalba, is special because it’s couture. That feeling of slipping on a dress that feels made for you? Well, Alfredo Villalba makes that dream come true. In their atelier based in Madrid, Spain, is where their Creative Director Diego Villalba puts together the most wonderful collections that are composed of gowns, cocktail dresses, trousers, skirts, and jackets. Sewn, embroidered and created to perfection is what couture is all about: with the most luxurious combination of fabrics coming from weavers in Switzerland and France, each piece is made by hand, one by one..

A modern brand that is distinct in its own style with Spanish origins, Alfredo Villalba has both Couture and high-end Pret-a-Porter collections that offer bespoke designs to their clients – that is the epitome of luxury fashion.

The red lace dress that I wore to Paris Fashion Week was a part of the SS16 Pret-a-Porter line titled a Transgressive Vision, which recalls a punk-rock band in the 80s. Rebellion and powerful femininity was a key inspiration for this collection that is all about the passion to express oneself and the empowerment that goes with it.

I chose this dress for its message, it’s impeccable fit and timeless elegance that red lace can make you feel. I hope you will enjoy these photos shot at Place Vendome, and this story!
