ON THE MERRY-GO-ROUND

As a child, one of my favorite things to do was to go on a merry-go-round. It always felt so surreal and magical to me, like my little escape. And now here I am again, on the merry-go-round, having those same feelings. I hope you see something beautiful and magical in these pictures like I do!

The idea behind going on the merry-go-round was that the day these photos were shot, it was the Eiffel Tower’s 125^th Anniversary. I thought, what better way to celebrate the existence of Paris’ iconic monument then to ride on a merry-go-round, with the Eiffel Tower in sight? Paris is a magical place to me – it’s culture, architecture, and all of my wonderful memories there really make it all that more special to me. If you’ve seen my outfit video yesterday you’ll understand the story a little better. ;)

Moving on to the outfit I chose to wear. I wanted to dress simple and classy, without overdoing it. Wearing a fancier outfit (such as a dress or a skirt) might have made the photos look as if they came out of a princess story – and that I didn’t want. But chic and fashionable definitely made the cut! White jeans and a crop top, with the addition of accessories, heels, and my Chanel bag were the perfect fit for the scenery. I still felt something magical in the air whilst shooting these pictures, and I hope you can tell! Plus, it’s the first time I ever took pictures and videos while constantly moving and spinning around. It was really a lot of fun!
