LUNCH AT LE GEORGE | FOUR SEASONS PARIS

P2023204

The Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris have recently opened their doors to their newly launched restaurant Le George, to which I have had the pleasure of having been invited to enjoy a tasteful Mediterranean French lunch. The Le George restaurant, with a distinctly Parisian atmosphere, has had interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon create a chic and elegant setting that makes you feel instantly at ease and relaxed. I was welcomed ever so politely by the staff, who had brought me to my table by the window and introduced me to the Flavours menu I was yet to try.

The Mediterranean-style cuisine offered was designed to be shared on the table, with well-balanced portions that were the perfect combination of light and gourmet. When it comes to food, Paris certainly is one of the very best and has the ability to create delicious flavor, as well as artistic plating.

To take you along from start to finish, the Flavours menu I had tried consisted of light-starters: ciabatta bread with gorgonzola cheese and small breaded shrimps, with a heavenly semi-cooked red tuna and yellowtail kingfish crudo with lemon and black truffle petals to follow on. I had absolutely enjoyed then tasting the roasted Dublin Bay prawn, served in a citrus and mustard sauce that was simply divine!

Next we were served the Onion Tarte-Tartin, a fun twist on dessert although savory with the addition of a parmesan sorbet on the side. As the main meal, we had a light portion of ricotta cheese tortelli, which was then followed by a healthy Mediterranean prawn salad with roasted Sole and basil and vinegar sauce. There was so much freshness and flavor in each meal, and every one balanced each other perfectly.

For dessert, which is always my favorite part, three different luxurious plates followed, consisting of a Semi-Confit Apple with mascarpone cream, a Cheese Crème-Brulée with mandarin sorbet and Salted butter caramel. And lastly, we had divine chocolates to go with our green tea.

The meal was exotic yet typically French, with a colorful concoction of Mediterranean flavors. Le George’s gastronomic plates take us on an experience of tasting food like no other; each meal that was served had its unique appearance that left our taste buds oozing with flavor! I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal when in Paris!
