LESS IS MORE

‘Less is more’ is my motto, in fashion and in life. My style always revolves around that saying, as I like to wear a simplistic yet structured and chic look, where ‘less’ certainly can give off the impression that you are wearing ‘more’ if styled properly. The right amount of accessories with the right bag and shoes can definitely add that extra ‘more’ to your outfit, whilst your look can still remain natural, chic and effortless. It’s a fashion and lifestyle choice that suits me well.

The two looks in today’s outfit post are from the brand American Retro, where ‘less is more’ is the theme. I decided to combine the two different outfits (the black dress, and the white top with the black leather pants) because I felt they equally suited eachother due to their styles.  While one has the saying LESS IS MORE written in bold letters, the other has the words MORE OR LESS written as if it were a question. My answer is of course ‘less’, but not without the ‘more’, because I like to have a touch of flair and enthusiasm in my looks. The American Retro top and dress definitely do encompass that feeling of an energetic glow and freshness. I love how the material is entirely composed of sequins, which is a bold move as it can make a piece look ‘over-the-top’, but yet the top and dress still have this chic and structured appeal to them. That is exactly why these pieces caught my eye, and I hope they catch yours too!
