Dressing For the Winter: Alpine Chic

First things first, happy New Year to all my lovely readers! As my first post of 2019, I wanted to share some casual-chic winter outfits. For all those going into town wanting to look fabulous yet feeling cosy, or for those going out for walks in the countryside, there are some tips for everyone! This post is in collaboration with centre:mk, so as usual you can shop all these pieces in stores at the centre:mk shopping centre in Milton Keynes!

Winter Whites

This is a go-to of mine during the cold winter months in the U.K., going for a chunky or cashmere knit is surely to keep you warm and toasty, but give it a bit more style by choosing white or cream colors! This can be a cosy white cashmere knit, or a classic longline cream coat.

Wellington Boots

The classic piece for winter footwear is definitely a pair of wellington boots, especially for heading out on countryside walks or into town on a snowy, rainy day. You certainly can’t go wrong with investing in a pair of these! Style your wellington boots with a sophisticated coat, chunky knitwear and black leggings and you’ve elevated the look yet kept it comfortable!

Leggings and sweatpants

Leggings are such a timeless piece to have in your wardrobe (hint: they are a part of my Autumn/Winter staples)! Go for classic leggings, leather or even chic sweatpants – each are so versatile and perfect for everyday-wear when you need to be cosy and outdoors.

Here is my take on the ‘Alpine Chic’ look – wearing my rust tracksuit set from River Island at centre:mk. Paired with black boots for a day out in the fresh winter air and I’m good to go!

I hope you like this look and that these tips were helpful, what are your go-to pieces for the winter months?
