A STORY ABOUT TIME WITH G-SHOCK FR

The G-Shock brand was born through the search and dream of creating a watch that is unbreakable. The simple yet complex notion of strength was sought out with the ultimate goal of building a watch that could fall 10-meters, with a 10-bar water resistance and a 10-year battery life. A shock-resistant structure that started a revolution in watch design, and not only was the watch powerful, it became design-led too.

This post isn’t about testing the ability of the G-Shock watch, although with fair accuracy I have owned my share of G-Shock watches when I was younger, and really did believe watches were unbreakable. But this story is one about time, strength and values. A watch becomes something personal once you put it on, it’s a piece that stays with you, goes through your troubles and experiences every moment you have lived when wearing it. I personally have loved watches since I can remember, it’s the notion of tracking time – calculation, if I must say. Not one minute can go by without knowing where I am in time.

I have worn and gone through many watches in my twenty-years, but I seem to always come back to the one that makes me feel invinsible, even when I feel fragile. There’s something special about G-Shock in its ability to be versatile, it’s a watch made for anyone and everyone who likes to tie themselves with time. This new piece in black with gold dials and an X-Large case design offers the strength and power you would associate immediately with the brand.

Although I do dress more feminine and I’m certainly not the toughest person out there, I feel I can connect with such a watch just the same. When wearing it I can put on heels, sporty black trousers and a backless top – it’s all about personality.

  1. Definitely interesting to see what I’ve thought as a bit more “masculine” watch on such a “feminine” side as you! Thanks for sharing this setup!
